Fairchild Oaks is a residential neighborhood located in close proximity to the Fairchild Botanical Gardens just to the north of Coral Gables and Coconut Grove. The neighborhood contains exotic tropical foliage and many large oaks for which the neighborhood is named. Homes in this neighborhood vary from traditional colonial style to Florida cracker style and the very popular Spanish and Mediterranean style homes.

The southern area of Miami Dade county is increasingly popular for families as there are a wide variety of top ranking public and private schools in the Pinecrest and Coral Gables area.
